Friday (March 6)

 

Fredericksburg Democratic Committee: First Day of Early Vote Event (Fredericksburg, multiple times)

An opportunity to talk to voters about redistricting as they head to the polls. 

Indivisible: VOTE YES – First Day Vote-In Rally (Fairfax, 10:30 am – 12 pm)

A demonstration in favor of the temporary redistricting amendment. 

Williamsburg JCC Indivisible: Freedom Fridays: Celebrate International Women’s Day (Williamsburg, 12 – 1 pm)

A demonstration celebrating International Women’s Day. 

Saturday (March 7)

 

Norfolk City Democratic Committee: Norfolk Dem Committee March Breakfast (Norfolk, 8:30 – 10 am)

A buffet-style breakfast and information session about Virginia’s redistricting. 

Suffolk Democratic Committee: Resist! Sidewalk Protest (Suffolk, 10 am)

A weekly anti-fascist protest on Main Street.

Do Something Alexandria: No Kings 3 organizing meeting (Alexandria, 10:30 am – 12 pm)

A meeting to help organize the next No Kings protest in Alexandria. 

Indivisible: Fight for Democracy – Out with ICE (Tysons, 11 am – 12 pm)

A weekly protest demanding the removal of ICE in Virginia. 

Stand Up for Science Richmond: Protest with speakers (Richmond, 12 – 2 pm)

A demonstration in favor of science and public health with speakers. 

Answer Coalition: Stop the War on Iran! (Richmond, 1 pm)

A demonstration protesting the war on Iran as part of a national day of action. 

Sunday (March 8)

 

RVA Indivisible: Craft-In (Richmond, 1 – 5 pm)

A crafting event to celebrate International Women’s Day. 

Williamsburg JCC Indivisible: Poster Making Party for No Kings 3 (Williamsburg, 2 – 5 pm)

A poster-making party in preparation for the incoming No Kings protest. 

Indivisible: International Women’s Day Protest (Reston, 2 – 3:30 pm)

A demonstration in favor of women’s rights and reproductive freedom. 

Monday (March 9)

 

Indivisible: Peninsula Mobilize Monday (Hampton, 3 – 4 pm)

A weekly, peaceful protest for progressive values. 

Tuesday (March 10)

 

Indivisible: Signs of Democracy (Arlington, 4 – 6 pm)

A local Indivisible event in protest of the Trump administration. 

Wednesday (March 11)

 

Virginia Grassroots: Resist & Persist Weekly Protest (Virginia Beach, 7:30 – 9 am)

A weekly protest at the corners of Independence and Virginia Beach Blvd.

Indivisible: Wednesday Warriors (Newport News, 3 – 4 pm)

A weekly protest in favor of progressive values. 

Thursday (March 12)

 

Virginia Grassroots: COVA Community Meeting & Town Hall (Norfolk, 6:30 – 8 pm)

A monthly town hall meeting. This month’s focus is on Virginia’s redistricting.
